Spider-Man: Brand New Day Still
The fourth instalment in the MCU Spider-Man Franchise, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is all set to take Peter Parker's Story forward after the emotional ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home. As Peter deals with the loss of Aunt May, his best friend, Ned and the love of his life, MJ, have no memory of him. For the first time, he is all alone.
In the trailer, we see Peter Parker watching Ned and MJ from a distance, as he is not able to reconnect with them. Despite this, Peter is doing his responsibility, being the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.
One of the biggest highlights of the trailer has to be the intense fight sequence between Spider-Man and the Punisher. Promising cool and visually stunning action set pieces. While it also shows that Spider-Man's humour is still intact, when he shoots the web at Punisher's mouth to stop him from cursing and also stays with its PG-13 audience.
Later, we get to know that there is some Mutation taking place in Peter's body. With fast glimpses shown in the trailer, it suggests that this Mutation is not only affecting Spider-Man's power, but also Peter Parker. This could become an interesting conflict to see, will it be limited to Peter's personal life or will it expand to Spider-Man, turning him into a darker, dangerous and invincible Masked Vigilante?

We also see Dr Banner, who is now teaching as a professor in a college. As per the reports, he could be seen as a mentor to Peter, who will help him understand the mutation with his own experience.
Fans noticed an interesting change in the treatment of this film; as the film has moved on from a high school boy, who has a superpower with humour sprinkled perfectly, to a grown adult, who has lost everyone dear to him, and is on the verge of becoming something dangerous due to the mutation. It already feels like Marvel has gotten serious now.
Final Thoughts
Spider-Man: Brand New Day feels like a major turning point towards the future of the MCU. With the challenges Peter is facing in this, it quickly reminds you of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 a lot. If Marvel executes this well, this could become one of the strongest Spider-Man films in the MCU
The Star-Cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. It is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The film releases on 31 July 2026
